1. Spamming and such
Ban duration: First offense=Warning; Second offense=Warning; Third offense=Temp ban (time varies); Fourth offense=Permaban.
2. Respect the members
Everyone deserves respect here. Trolling and flaming (No "flame on!" for you) is unwelcome, so don't do it. Unless you have a ban-fetish. If you're joking and make it obvious you are, no harm shall come to your insides.
Ban duration: First offense=Warning; Second offense=Temp ban (Two months); Third offense=Permaban.
3. Respect the staff
When I said everyone deserves respect here, that means the staff especially. We're not just here to decorate the place, so don't treat us poorly.
Ban duration: First offense=Temp ban (Two months); Second offense=Temp ban (Two months); Third offense=Permaban.
4. Language
While I and many people don't care if you curse or not, there are others who do. Try to keep the swearing to a bit of a minimum. Currently there are no filters, but if I see too many curse-words I might have to just toss one up. And shit.
Ban duration: First offense=Warning; Second offense=Warning; Third offense=Warning; Anything after=Temp ban (time varies)
4. Controversy
This goes hand-in-hand with respect. While this forum isn't for the faint of heart at times, anything that is deemed too offensive and controversial for people--racial slurs and jokes/jabs, political/religious banter (intellectual discussion is fine, but getting riled up is prohibited), and explicit content in pictures or text--is not allowed. If fights, even outside the realms stated, are started (the staff will be the judge of what is an intellectual discussion and what is a fight), a Guard has the ability to lock/remove a thread or remove posts if necessary. Respect one-another's opinion and we'll all get along fine.

5. Reporting to a Guard
Guards are here to help. If you have a problem with anything, whether it's a person or a Guard, do not try to handle it yourself. Report it to a Guard or, if it's a Guard, report it to me. Just because you think you can handle the situation correctly doesn't mean you will.
6. Have fun, dammit
Despite the rules and regulations, don't let them hold you back from having a good time. Use your head and you'll keep out of trouble.
These rules are subject to change over time, so it's important to check them now and then. I'll try to update the news to let you know about the changes.
Any problem with the rules can be stated in the Suggestions board.
- Try not to type like this:
cuz no 1 hsa ne idae waht ur saign
That's spamming. Well, it's more like spamming the laws of physics, but it's still spamming. If English is not your first language, do as much as possible to write it correctly. - If you post continuous posts, continuously, one after the other, then that's spamming. Continuously.
- If you and someone are having a conversation, and reply back and forth to each other every five seconds, that's considered flood spamming. A post cooldown period hasn't been implemented, but it may if people don't know how to slow their typing.
- No double-posting. Use the "Modify" button if you have anything extra to add. The only time you may double-post is if the topic hasn't been posted in for three days or more.
- Do not bump threads. It is looked down upon like a person looks down upon the crap in their toilet--sickened and with a slight burning sensation.
- Stop, look, and listen before creating a thread. Make sure the thread hasn't been created before or is long gone in the Graveyard.
- Posting in threads that haven't been updated in a week is uncool. While necromancers are great, you share no similarities with them. Unless it's something important that will contribute to the thread, don't open the Necronomicon. Threads are considered dead after 7-10 days. Then, a month after their death, they will be moved to the Graveyard, a sort of thread afterlife somewhere behind the Haus. If you want a thread back, PM a mod and we'll use our own necromancy to resurrect it.
