I used to be obsessed with Pokemon. :C I never owned any games before Yellow, but I borrowed them. After playing a while of Silver (I got the Japanese version before it came out, though I couldn't read crap XD), I somehow stopped playing. I dunno why. Some time after I stopped watching the anime and collecting cards. However, the games still interest me. I just lost track of the Pokemon and such, so I feel like if I start up again I'll be confused as hell and make failure look good.
Some time recently my friend, who is an avid Pokemon fanatic, showed me all of the games--he owns every last one of them. XD I was shocked and might have urinated myself. There are way more after Silver/Gold. So I'm a bit intimidated. Just a bit. >_>;

Haha, I've been a loyal fan through and through. I've played all the games, yes they are repetitive, but they're fun. It's the same thing and there aren't really any surprises. The Hoenn and Sinnoh regions are kinda lame, but the reason I like Diamond/Pearl (Sinnoh) is the animation style and the game mechanics are in the game now. Like the bag is a good example. In Red/Blue (Kanto) they just stuffed everything in your bag and you couldn't find anything. It was quite bothersome.
And yes, I own Mystery Dungeon for the fact that you get to play as a pokemon. I always end up as Pikachu, though >.>
And I own Pokemon Ranger. Also another twist on the original games.
I never played the pokemon card game, though. Those kind of card games always confused me. Especially since I grew up with poker in my family. c:
Another reason to like it?
The series has sold over 175 million units as of April 23, 2008, making it one of the best-selling of all time. Guinness World Records awarded the Pokémon series eight records in Guinness World Records: Gamer's Edition 2008, including "Most Successful RPG Series of All Time", "Game Series With the Most Spin-Off Movies" and "Most Photosensitive Epileptic Seizures Caused By A TV Show".

Hahah, seizures. Ohgawd. I remember feeling bad when I first heard about that. Because I was laughing and knew I shouldn't have been. XD
But yeah. I might get back into it, now that I know they're not really different. It's weird watching some of the newer graphics compared to the old stuff, though. They're all smooth and detailed, and the animations are nice, as opposed to a blob of pixels seismic tossing you. Though I think there was a Pokemon like that...o__o;
At least I know my friends won't giggle when I start playing again. Cause they play too. .__.

I highly recommend it. Even though Diamond/Pearl are much different from Red/Blue, in the end its the same. The graphics update is quite awesome and I love all the new sprites for the pokemon. Sandshrew doesn't look like some naked mole rat and Totodile's head is not disproportioned from the rest of its body. >.> But, it's good fun. If'n you get the time, it's worth it. Maybe if you don't want to play Diamond/Pearl, you can pick up HeartGold/SoulSilver instead. It's a complete overhaul of the Gold/Silver games. c:
And Gold/Silver were my favourite games out of the bunch. It was the awesome region to go to. Only for the fact that you could actually head to the Kanto region to collect badges which lacks in the newer games. I hope if they continue to make pokemon games and regions that they incorporate the other regions because it would make the game itself longer to play. And it would just be plain awesome.

Yeah, I've wanted to play HeartGold/HeartSilver for a while. As for new games with regions, I'd love to see that. Which makes me wonder how a Pokemon MMO would turn out...Quite well, probably. That's been something I've twitched happily about for ages.
What was Pokemon Ranger about? I remember it's 3D and such and it doesn't really have the same premise and feeling as the other games. I'd like to see a game that's just like the other ones, but just 3D.

Pokemon Ranger is basically using pokemon for everyday use and then letting them go. You do not train any pokemon, you basically whore them out for yourself and then let them go back to the wild. You are allowed one pokemon for yourself, but other than that you catch pokemon with a "styler" instead of pokeballs. Here's a better explanation for it all. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_RangerI didn't mind the first game, it was challenging and fun and different from the original games, but Shadows of Almia, the sequel to the first Pokemon Ranger is actually a lot better than the first one. They get rid of all the kinks and stuff. Kinda like the original Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games. I've replayed the original game about 5 or 6 times and I still get stuck at the same part XD However, in the newer game, I get stuck when I have to face a pack of Luxios and shinxes because I'm a Pikachu and I have a Squirtle as my partner. (Luxio and Shinx are both Electric pokemon and Squirtle is VERY WEAK against Electric. DX)

Ooohh, hahah, that's completely different than I thought. Why did I think it was 3D... .___.; I could have sworn there was a 3D Pokemon game with like...Unknown or something. Or some other weird Pokemon.
...
I AM CONFUSE. *Head falls off*

Eeees okay, Sammich. -patpat-
Also, Battle Revolution for the Wii kinda sucked. I was really hoping that they would have mini-games like they did in the N64 games. Sadly they did not. I think that was the downfall of that game. XD

I've never played that. And...now that I hear there are no mini-games, I don't think I want to. XD I used to spend hours on those mini-games! Though I hated Chansey pretty much forever after that. >_>;

HAHAHAHAHA, Chansey mini-game. XDD
MLE and I loved the mini-games. We would play them all the time. When we heard that they were going to release Pokemon Battle Revolution for the Wii, we got excited because we thought it was going to be a remake of stadium.
Sadly we were mistaken. Which sucks because that game could've done a hell of a lot better if they added the mini-games. Which is a shame because you know, the Wii is kinda not doing so well in the game market since it's pwned by the PS3 and Xbawks.

Pokemon is awesome! I was bored the other day and went online and watched the first few episodes of the anime series lol. I have ROMs of every Pokemon game and I actually have physical copies of Ruby and Gold.

I still play the Pokemon TCG on gameboy color. The game is soooo broken. Otherwise, I haven't picked up a Pokemon game in ages.

I've never played the TCG before. I think that's the only pokemon game that I haven't tried.
I'm terrible with card games and numbers so I think that's the reason why I've never played it. Is it any fun/good? You know, for the caliber of a ten year old?

Even if I haven't played it. XD But I know they would have, cause you can do so much shit with the Wiimote. [Insert hours of time spent playing Warioware] Pokemon is awesome! I was bored the other day and went online and watched the first few episodes of the anime series lol. I have ROMs of every Pokemon game and I actually have physical copies of Ruby and Gold. Eff! I completely forgot about ROMs! Ohohoho...This may be easier than I thought. Prior to this realization I was sad because I don't have a DS and so can't play the more recent games.
