I've never played the TCG before. I think that's the only pokemon game that I haven't tried. I'm terrible with card games and numbers so I think that's the reason why I've never played it. Is it any fun/good? You know, for the caliber of a ten year old? I had it, I thought it was pretty fun. There wasn't really an order you had to go in for fighting the "Gym Leaders" or whatever, I think. Except the "Elite Four." It's been a while since I played and I have no idea where it is now. I like TCGs but not so much Pokemon's because of the rules. And yet I liked the game. Possibly because I thought you always had to discard energy cards after using them, and you don't have to in the video game. Of course, from playing Yu-Gi-Oh: Forbidden Memories and the actual card game, I know that the video game and the TCG can be completely different. Wow this post ended up being a lot longer than I intended.

Ah I see.
All right, let's bring in another topic.
You have Pokemon Red. What was your team?
Here was mine. Always.
Blastoise (Starter) Growlithe Pikachu Pidgeot Nidoking Vileplume
Now this part of the discussion is for Red/Blue/Green/Yellow only. The original 151 pokemon that we've all learned and loved. So yeah. C:

In Yellow, I'd always use
Pikachu (duh) Butterfree (Brock+Misty) Dugtrio (Lt. Surge+Dig) Pidgeot then Articuno (Fly)
And I have no idea about the other two. Currently I have a Dratini and a Mew. I also have a Hitmonchan instead of Butterfree. The Mew is from when my GameShark still worked.

I've always tried to use Electabuzz, but I never liked using him as my Electric. I've always liked using Pikachu. Then Moltres when I eventually caught that one. Even with Moltres I would always rather use Pikachu.
I found Moltres to be the easiest Legendary bird to catch. The other two were a bitch and a half for me.

You used Moltres as an electric type? I've never been able to catch Mewtwo. Mostly because I could never beat the elite four in Yellow. When I finally did (in my current game) I didn't have a master ball. I don't know why. Speaking of the Elite Four, how did they get so much weaker in the second generation?

Oh mother fucker, I meant Zapdos. Goddammit. >.< Oh, well.
Yeah, the Elite Four have gotten weaker since the first generation. Though, in Diamond/Pearl they were pretty hard, too. Esp. if you're team is unbalanced. My team was unbalanced for the entire game and I had the most trouble trying to get Agatha's Hippodown to faint. That was a bitch and a half because she would only use Sandstorm and Earthquake.

I've played Red and Crystal, myself. Dabbled a bit in Yellow, never touched Blue or any of the other games, haha. I beat both games, though I never "caught them all" because I couldn't afford a second GameBoy and a link cable, haha.

Hmmm...I can't seem to remember what Pokemon I had in Yellow. I remember having a Pikachu and a Pidgeot. Maybe a Hitmonlee...And a Butterfree. And a Golem...? XD Oh yeah, and a Magikarp. Though I think he evolved into a Gyarados...Oh oh oh, and a Vaporeon. I used him a lot.
Worst. Memory. Ever. As for the games before that, I only borrowed those so I didn't play them long enough to remember any of the Pokemon I had. .__.;

I remember borrowing Red from a friend and I found Growlithe and I wanted it. A lot. When I finally caught one, he wanted it back. I went FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-
Then I bought my own copy. But, I only found Blue. Sad faise.

My sister has a Purple not!Mudkip from Halolz at Connecticon in her Pearl game, so if she ever gets far enough to be able to breed, I might be able to get one as well.

lol, awesome.
I forgot they changed a lot of things in the Platinum version of the game. Though small, I'm finding myself playing Platinum more than my Pearl game.
Want. SoulSilver. ;A;
